She was only 23...

UPDATE FROM DOUG KNECHT:

A few minutes past 8:00 on Saturday night, we said, “Good by,” to our beloved daughter, sister, and girl friend, Daphne Knecht. She fought a great fight against an enemy who dared only show itself through CT scans and MRIs. She passed to her rest peacefully and free of pain and discomfort.

Daphne’s brain tumor spread to her spine, as well as other parts of her brain, rendering her doctors virtually helpless to fight against it.

We thank you all for your unbounded love and support during these past three and a half years. Daphne’s life is a testament to the greatness of our God and her love of Him and her willingness to serve.

It is only by the messages of love poured out to all of us, here and in person, that we began to see the impact her short life had on so many. As we heard of prayer services in virtually all parts of the US and in other countries, we also came to realize just how many people have been touched by her and how much she was loved and admired by so many, many of whom are not known to us.

While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate everything that is and was Daphne. We love her, we miss her, and we look forward to seeing her again when Jesus comes to take us home forever.

I've known her, been friends with her, since we were 3. i'm NOT handling this well...

It's been ages...

i haven't been focusing on this blog as much. what with all of one follower, no one really pays much attention to what i have to say anyway. there's really only one person in my life that ever really REALLY listens to me all the time and doesn't leave me in the middle of conversations...

whatever... i'm gonna go now...
